For Residents of Kane County
To help residents of Kane County understand the property tax process, the Kane County Assessment Office Board of Review will be offering a series of free property tax clinics over the coming months. The clinics will:
- Help taxpayers understand how property taxes work;
- Dispel myths about taxes and assessments;
- Explain the appeal process;
- Provide taxpayers an opportunity to make sure they are taking advantage of all homestead exemptions available to them.
Scheduled clinic dates are: October 7 & 21, November 5 & 18 and December 2 & 16. Each clinic will begin at 6:00 p.m. and be held in the first-floor auditorium of Building A at the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Avenue, Geneva (
